Will Technology Save Us, or Is That Just a Marketing Scheme?
Ah, technology, the panacea to all our self-inflicted wounds. Or is it just the newest Messiah we're all expected to worship?
Let's get real here: If technology were the ultimate savior, wouldn't we have solved world hunger, climate change, and bad WiFi by now? Instead, we’re drowning in data breaches, e-waste, and social media disasters.
Sure, AI and automation are touted as heroes that will liberate us from mundane tasks, but didn’t they promise flying cars by 2020 too? It seems more plausible that we’re just automating our way into new sets of complex issues, which we'll undoubtedly solve with—wait for it—more technology!
But hey, let's keep pretending Silicon Valley is our savior. After all, who needs critical thinking when you've got a smartphone app to do it for you?
Am I missing something, or have we all just signed up for a perpetual loop of problem-solving that never ends?
